A Warm Welcome to Community Members Old and New

Welcome to Cobalt Apps, home of the Dynamik Website Builder and the Genesis Extender Plugin.

We’re thrilled to have you with us because, after all, what is WordPress, what’s a WordPress theme, and what’s a WordPress product without a community?

It’s you, the community of old friends and new friends that make everything possible. We thank you for being here, and we’re happy to have you along for the ride.

Version 1.2 of Dynamik Website Builder and Genesis Extender represent the biggest Cobalt Apps product update that we’ve put out in a very long time.

And now, Dynamik Website Builder’s robust new features and the long list of refinements take everything to a whole new level.

Plus, Genesis Extender Plugin brings much of the Dynamik control to all the Genesis child themes. It’s like having a Dynamik Custom Options toolbox on a Genesis site to get the granular control you want even if you don’t write code.

(Be sure to check out the Dynamik Website Builder / Genesis Extender 1.2 Blog Post for all the details!)

Then, along with the design capabilities of your Genesis child theme or a pre-designed skin, you can create a beautiful Genesis website that will suit almost any need.

And finally, Dynamik Skins make it easy to get the slick look you crave without starting from scratch. And even with a skin, you can still customize your site’s look with Dynamik Website Builder’s point-and-click design options.

To get started, we want to make sure you have all the information you need.

The Dynamik Website Builder Takes Center Stage

The Dynamik Website Builder runs on the Genesis framework as a child theme. But it’s much more than a child theme. It’s a cutting-edge, website design dynamo that turns your ideas into a secure, fast-loading, mobile responsive site whether you know a little code or a lot—or none.

Non-coders love the point-and-click design options and all the elements you can add to your custom site without writing code or hiring a developer: 49 configurations for your CMS-style static homepage. Custom widgets and content areas. Dozens and dozens of web-safe Google fonts to choose from. And so much more.

Advanced users love the time-saving design elements plus the great structuring tools: JQuery. Custom templates. Conditionals. Labels. Custom widgets. Hook boxes. You can quickly and easily add custom content to different parts of your website with Dynamik’s Custom CSS and PHP Builders. Or add your own code. It’s as simple as that.

And with all our learning resources and legendary support, you won’t ever have to worry about getting lost. No matter what level you’re at, our superb support team is always here to help.

To Get Started

If you don’t already have a self-hosted website where you plan to use Dynamik Website Builder, here are four steps you’ll need to take:

1. Choose website hosting. You’ll need to run the self-hosted version of WordPress for Dynamik Website Builder. We recommend BlueHost for community members with relatively simple needs.

2. Select a domain name. You can register a domain name such as myawesomesite.com with your current web hosting company, or choose a domain name when you sign up for hosting.

3. Install WordPress. Your web host should offer one-click WordPress installation. If you’re not familiar with the process, ask your web host for assistance.

4. Install Genesis. Since Dynamik Website Builder is a child theme, it needs a parent theme—a framework—on which to run. Genesis is the framework for Dynamik Website Builder, and if you don’t already have it, you can get it right here.

Where to Get More Goodies

Genesis Goodies makes it easy for Genesis and Dynamik Website Builder users to connect and find helpful goodies from our core supporters. Some of the goodies are free and others are premium. You’ll find everything from plugins, themes, and skins to code snippets, tutorials, eCourses, and eBooks. All this plus articles and link roundups make building and managing your website that much easier.

Once again, welcome to Cobalt Apps. We’re an ever-growing community of WordPress enthusiasts who are always on the alert for the latest and the greatest in cutting edge technology.

We’re proud to offer our very latest product update: Dynamik Website Builder. And don’t forget: the price goes up after July 31, so you’ll want to get in on the excitement right now.

Glad you could join us! And we’re looking forward to building long-lasting friendships, growing our community, and building cutting-edge Dynamik websites together.
